Ok, I’m actually a little nervous to keep writing about some of the things Kelli and I eat at our house. I’m sure to the average person they sound totally disgusting. We love grabbing a few things from the fridge and just throwing them together. We’ll be staring at the pan that already has a few ingredients in it and ask, “What else can we throw in here?”

So this morning’s breakfast. We had baked a pot of pinto beans on Sunday, and those are good with just about anything. So we scramble up five or six eggs in a pan and dumped in a few big scoops of the beans. Then, after asking our question, we threw in some sliced tomatoes. And then after asking it one more time, we grabbed some bananas and sliced them into the bottom of our bowls. (If you’ve never tried adding bananas to your rice and beans, you’re definitely missing out. Try it! It’s actually really good.)

So there you go…eggs, beans, tomatoes, and bananas. And it was dang awesome. I probably had to force mysef on the tomatoes a little bit, eating them because I know they’re good for me. But the rest of the food went together fantastically. Try it out sometime. Try the approach…combining as many whole foods as you can. Who knows what you’ll come up with when you ask, “What else can we throw in here?”
