How’s that for a title? A little long, but this amazing pudding is worth the extra time to call it by its full name.
A dairy-free pudding is nothing new to Fooduciary. We’ve had a similar recipe on here for a long time. And it’s one we pull out all the time when guests are coming over. But I’ve had fun experimenting with different desserts to see if it was possible to get them to taste good without using added sugar. Turns out, for this recipe, it’s not that hard.
If you’re new to the idea of using avocados in your desserts (we’ve all been there), then buckle up and just trust us. This doesn’t taste like guacamole, we promise. And it’s so simple, just try it out for yourself and see.
Ingredients:
2 Ripe avocados
1/2 Cup raw cacao powder
1/2 Cup dates, pitted
1 Banana (I’ve also used a very ripe pear and it worked great)
1 Tsp vanilla
Directions:
It can’t get any easier than this. Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor or blender (we love our Blendtec!), and process until smooth.
Serve immediately or chilled. Top with banana slices, fresh berries, etc.
