This is a tasty and versatile healthy snack recipe that is super easy to make and has only 5 ingredients. These are a great go-to for between meals, or as pre- or post-workout fuel. These have a perfect combination of energy and protein.
I made these last week, and they came in really handy when we went to my company summer picnic. It was a really fun event, but we guessed before we set out they likely wouldn’t be serving anything we could eat – which turned out to be the case. These were easy to transport and were great fuel for swimming in a beautiful natural spring.
3/4 cup raw almond butter
1/2 – 3/4 cup flax meal
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
1 – 2 Tbsp raw honey
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir thoroughly.
Roll into 1/2-3/4″ balls and refrigerate.
Eat in moderation. 🙂
